LIQUID SOCIETY: counterculture of social evolution

Liquid Society is an editorial design project inspired by global countercultural movements. Viewing counterculture as a catalyst for social evolution, the book traces phenomena from the 1960s to the present. Drawing on Manuel DeLanda’s A Thousand Years of Nonlinear History, I use the phases of water—liquid, vapor, and solid—as metaphors for social transformation. A series of modular typefaces complements this concept, while the book unfolds chronologically at a contemplative pace.
