Ars Electronica is an Austrian cultural, educational, and scientific institute active in the field of new media art, founded in Linz in 1979. It holds a new media art festival once a year with a specific theme. In 2018, the theme was “The Art of Imperfection.” The inspiration for the whole form-making is from the circuit board and other small components that are crucial to every media artwork.
